Island hopping—the first stop is Drejø, where we’ll also have lunch

In the morning, we'll take the ferry Højestene toward Skarø and Drejø. Our first stop is Drejø, where we go ashore and take a lovely hike around the island. In the center of town, we pick up lunch at the cozy inn/grocery store.

Skarø - a walk and a taste of the island's famous ice cream

After lunch, we’ll head to Skarø, where we’ll take a walk along the coast and have the chance to try some authentic Skarø ice cream from the small dairy. In the afternoon, we’ll sail back to Svendborg. Along the way, the guide will share stories about the archipelago, nature, and life on the islands.

The Town That Burned and the Church That Disappeared

Throughout the day, you’ll hear fascinating stories about the past the town of Drejø was nearly wiped out and rebuilt through a joint national effort. We’ll also hear about the church that disappeared several times into the dead of night.

But it doesn't have to be all gloomy, so we'll wrap up the tour with a chance to taste the world-famous Skarø ice creambefore heading back to Svendborg.

That's what our guests say

I’ve lived in Svendborg for more than 30 years, and even though I thought I knew the town, this tour has taught me that places in town I’ve visited many times hold surprisingly fascinating stories. It was my first—but certainly not my last—time joining one of your city walks.
